either you can get a 6.5 longtail(mb 6.5 weighs 72 ibs, gdlt weighs in at 102 ibs) or you can get a 6.5 copperhead(weighs in at 80 ibs) and you can get to were your going alot faster and easier driving |

the mblt robin 6 is like 2 grand and the copperhead 6.5 is like 2495 so yes there is a differance but the speed and ease of driving(you can drive sitting down) will make up for the difference. me and my cousin bought a rig together(1436 jon,12 hp copperhead with go cart carb) and wit one person we hit 23 in the shallows, and that is faster than a 35 longtail so jus think about what a 6.5 sd can do compared to a 6.5 lt |

I'd also like to see a drag race between a 35 LT and that copperhead to settle the question. I do like that copper fit and speed however, in cases of horsepower restricted areas. My first jon and motor was a 1436 w/ 18 HP GD LT, and I think back with fondness for that ride, and an 18 copperhead on that would have been fun- of course the 25 Evinrude that I had prior to that flew! |

I bet my set up would give your buddy some competition, I doubt my combo is recommended for a 35lt though! Haha |

I've seen people run copperheads out at McFaddin and they are really impressive as far as speed for such a small engine. |
