The only way to get a 'for sure' answer is to call Go-Devil and ask Coco directly. Figure out what yr. model you have and/or serial number prior to calling. |

all you need to worry about is the height of the shaft on the two motors,if they the same and the mounting holes arent,it shouldnt be a big deal to drill new ones. |

prob up to a 23hp, I have an old school 1986 model with a 16hp briggs and it looks just like the 9hp frame. if you ran a piece of flat stock down to the cav. plat to beef it up then it would be about the same. I asked warren when i was updating mine if i should rebrace and add a center bushing and his reply was "its been running this long without it why bother?" he was totally agaist me dropping the 16hp to a 9hp. said it vibrates more is just as loud and you gonna miss the power. so you never know what he's gonna say but he damn sure knows his stuff. but crank height is the same so i say you can and reprop. |

measure from the base of your 9 to the center of the shaft. thats your shaft height. then make sure you get the same shaft diam. if you cant find the smae shaft diam dont sweat cause you can get a yoke for the u joint to step it down if you need. dont hold me to it but you should be good on shaft height up to a 16 or 18. as far as where to buy check local mower shops most are specific brand dealers and some even have used. and theres always craigs list. i pmd you a few months ago about this. i called gd and was told that i could only go as big as a 13 or 16 on my crawfish frame but didnt go into details as to why, but i didnt talk to CoCo. it was the lady who answered the phone. |
