Supposedly this guy has a 16hp GDLT that was purchased brand new in December of 2010. He ran it one time and realized it was too much for his little boat. Then he put it up and it hasn't been ran since. I pretty much know that the carb will need to be rebuilt or replaced if gas has set in there that long. Is there a chance that anything else in the block is bad? I was thinking about dried up piston rings specifically. He's 3.5 hours away from me and I've aggressively talked him down to $2,200. Anybody have any opinions? |

well....its a tricky question - how was it put away? Properly? Stabilzer added? Carb bled, lines cleared? etc...? |

It belonged to this guys dad and he's not sure. I'm assuming it wasn't stored properly. If it wasn't, what all problems am I looking at? |

Man that is not all that long. If stored under a cool dry place that Rascal may start right up. |
