Hi, I have a 27hp GDLT and i have to now replace the shaft and lower seals. I was wondering how hard this is gonna be and how long about? Any info would be great. thank you. |

Fairly simple actually Pending all goes to plan and nothing breaks. Remove prop and nuts; Remove upper yoke; Remove upper seal; Pull shaft from the bottom; Replace lower seals; Replace shaft in reverse order... Should be 25 min start to finish. I'd replace all the shaft grease while I'm at it. |

hey if you're gonna replace the shaft save yourself some trouble. pull the shaft then put it in a vice and break the prop loose. thats the hardest part of the whole procedure. i would invest in an inexpensive 3/4-10 tap and die. chase the threads on prop and shaft each time you service. |

Just ordered all the parts and there on the way. Hopefully get them tuesday and be back on the water next weekend! |

Got it all done tonight, can't wait to try it out Saturday with the new prop hopefully tear some shiii up! |
