 Auto Luber leaking around threads?
Everytime i run my motor it leaks around the threads of my auto luber where it is screwed into the shaft. It pushes out a good bit each run. I have tried locktite and teflon tape, and a combo of the two. Any sugestions on how to seal this up?

You could always weld it...

Re: Auto Luber leaking around threads?
This is true...it damn sure wouldnt leak then, but this would make replacing it quite a challenge.

Re: Auto Luber leaking around threads?
Is it leaking from where the luber screws into the shaft housing or between the plastic auto luber housing and threads? Could be that the plastic is detaching from the threaded piece or is cracked?

Re: Auto Luber leaking around threads?
Mine completly fell off the shaft. Where the plastic was bonded to the metal sort of crystalized and broke apart. I replaced it with a all metal unit except for the plastic cover. I got it from McMaster-Carr.

Re: Auto Luber leaking around threads?
Since you've tried teflon tape, I'd move on to pipe joint compound; it's thick enough to seal where tape won't, but I'm not sure how it'll hold up to the grease.

take a 1/8 npt coupler, cut it in half then weld it over the wore out hole.
