If I understand correctly, you may just need to adjust the "trim tab" on the lifting plate (e.g. cavitation plate) trailing surface accordingly to plane right. The other obvious suggestion is to adjust the weight on the boat to see if that helps, usually a combination of adjustments. I also have a 27 MB LT and I had to play with these adjustments a bit to get it right. I do admit that my friend, who has a veteran 25 HP GD LT, has never needed to adjust the plate. I had a GD previously and it was good, but the MB IMO is more efficient with less grease loss, but otherwise pretty equal and both reliable. Don't give up, keep trying!

has the handle been shortened? may be why it requires more effort.

10-4, the MB LT comes with the adjustable "trim tab" on the trailing edge of the cavitation plate. Not sure why you're having such a problem. The only other "bad fit" I can think of is when you use a 72" regular length LT on a high transom (20-21") and that really sucks trying to keep the prop in the water. A good friend drove it like that a few years and finally cut down the transom to 16". Obviously that is not your problem as you are a former GD owner. As you know, to get the prop to plane deeper you bend the tab up; conversely to get it closer to the surface. I've owned three GD LT's previously and I think the MB is a better product.

hes not talking about running wot. hes saying it takes too much effort while idling or just over idle while bow fishing. if yall can shoot fish with yer boat on plane running 20 mph yall are better than i am for sure.

Even at idle though my LT would just float. Wasn't difficult at all

My 13 was like that but my 24 is perfect!

You can tighten the nut on the up down pivot and it will help it stay where you leave it at idle.

Something is wonky with your set up, at idle I can run my lt with a couple of fingers. Try woodies suggestion and tighten the nut on the pivot, I had to do this as well.

Yeah that sucks man. We went last night and ran the trolling motor most of the time but when it got too thick I ran the 23. Only about an hour total and it was no trouble but it made me think of you having to fight it.
