It's the sunburn time of year here. Been thinking of adding a bimini style cover for my 1648 grizzly for fishing and cruising, at least to cover the front half of the floor area. Anybody install one? I have the gunwale t-rail might be good for anchoring some of those pole fixtures. The part that I imagine it's best if the pole loop/material roll lay up on the rear of the front deck and swing back. I want it so I can still drive the longtail standing up if need be in back. Any suggestions are welcome! |

Thank you, Fletch! That looks like the ticket. I will need a slightly narrower (65"?) width frame but the length looks great- and I believe I can drive the longtail with the bimini up. The whole thing should not weigh much, I will look at the iboats site. |

Thanks, tbuc. Good rig, that GD and SD combo. I'm perfectly happy with the .100 gauge on my Grizzly and it is heavy enough, actually wish it were lighter like .090 gauge. We don't have those beaver dams and bayou impediments down here so a lighter hull is ok. I appreciate your offer but I guess I'll fabricate something myself or wear a big hat and plenty of sunblock! ![]() |
