 Vertical
I have a LT mud buddy chassy it had a 27 kawasaki on it. I want to repower it cheap i can't find a horizontal for cheap i am running a 16 ft fisher. Verticals are cheap and everywhere has anyone repowered with a vertical.

How do you even plan on running a vertical shaft motor on a LT???

Sounds like loss of power and a pain in the ass. With out looking at one I would think the ujoint would have to be at a 90 . I'd say dont waste your time get a horizontal and be done.

I would be using 4 u joint not two at a 90 i was thinking it would be a loss of power I have a old 15 briggs on it now but i only go about 5 mph i guy i know has a 22 vert. Do you think i could get more out of a new 16 durmax than the old 1969 15hp briggs. i would like 12 to 15 mph

Horizontal for LT
Vertical for ProDrive
You'd lose a lot of power running 4 u joints
Just a bad idea IMO.
