 First long tail
First time to change shaft, bushings and seals. I have all the manuals with instruction, just wanted to know if anyone had tips, tricks or pointers. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1342806073.094219.jpg

 Re: First long tail
watch the threads when you go past the new seals, it can cut them. easier with 2 people.

 Re: First long tail
x2 on the threads and seals, i wrap electrical tape around threads. If you cant get ur prop off dont sweat it if ur changing the shaft. just take the the old shaft and put it in a vice. every time you take off prop always chase threads in prop and shaft. if you have a bushing at top, use a feeler guage .003" and center the bushing by moving the motor. I have a homemade bushing puller, its a 2 foot piece of allthread with a notch in one end and a large weight that slides at the other end. I can do mine in less than an hour. If my bushing at top is good then less than that.
