 Bigger Motor
I currently have a 25 Hp Vanguard motor on my longtail. Its a18'x60" riveted Jon. Can I unbolt the 25 and put a 35 Hp in it's place? Tired of boggin down with a full load. Or should I go with a SD?

The 35 probably won't bolt right up without a little modification to the frame, more then likely you will have drill some new holes.

 Re: Bigger Motor
assuming it's a go-devil brand: I believe the prop shaft is 3/4in on the 25hp motor and 7/8 for the 35hp. also when did vanguard make a 25hp motor I thought they where using koehler engines that were 25hp?

 Re: Bigger Motor
If in fact it is a big block 25 Vangaurd (which they make, just not sure if they ever put them on a MM) it will bolt right up with no modifications whatsoever.
If its a 25 Kohler its doable
If its a 23 Briggs it'll be a chore.
