I finished my longtail build with a vertical shaft 27 B&S and it works great. I am running it on a 17 foot 9 by 54 inch ultracraft mod. V with think hull and getting almost 18 mph with 3 guys and grear

That looks like a Backwater frame!! But I'm dying to know what kind of gear box u used It better be a beast of a gear box !!

Yep it is just like ********ic. Frame. I used a 90 degree perless gearbox that is 1 inch shaft that are tapped to accept a 1/4 inch grade 8 bolt that goes 5/16 in to shaft. Lookout last night with 4 guys ant to 14 mph. The guys at ******inc. Are outstanding and helped with any questions i had i got prop cav. Plate and bearings from them. If i buy motor it will be from them no doubt
