I got the new long tail built and I'm having trouble with the auto lubricator. It doesnt seem to be pushing or drawing the grease out. It came with three springs and had the medium spring in it. I tried it and no grease then I switched to heavy spring and still can't get any to come out. I filled it like directions said and it doesn't seem to have any air bubbles. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: New long tail
im confused? where are you putting grease in at? not on the lubricator. If you are putting grease in where is it coming out at? seals? you need to bleed the shaft housing first, like pull the seals" if possible" on either end, and wait til grease comes out, and then continue filing until the lubricator is 3/4 full. btw you dont want the heavy spring. The object of the lubicator is not to actually lubricate but act as a pressure relief for when the shaft and grease heats up and expands. Then when the parts cool it lets the grease back in as opossed to creating a vacuum and pulling water through seals.

Re: New long tail
I did take the motor out to test on water for first time today. It's a 1436 tracker and with three guys we hit 7 mph. That's with a 6x4 prop. Two guys was around 8 mph i think I'm going to get the 7x4 as well and try it. The motor did run very well no problems with shaft or vibrations. Had to bend Cativation plate about a 1/4 inch and that was it. Very easy to drive and handle.
