Well ran the rig for the first time with a load on it. G3 1548, 23 GDLT. me running light I got 18.2 out of it in deep water. Yesterday I had my daughter,one of her friends Carrie some deks 3 guns, 3 bags ect small cooler with ice drinks, pretty good load. I didnt GPS the speed, but I would guess I was down to about 14 MPH or so in the deep water. With the heavier load I was up on plane but "pushing" more. Definatly had to manhandle tight turns more with a heavy load. Got into some skinny stuff and even with the load, she pulled us thru. That was a good test for me now knowing a bit better and a confidence builder in what I can do with a hunting load now.
For the runs I do The boat is definatly gonna get the job done for me. As I was putting /thinking of getting what boat I wanted I was thinking a two man rig. This will get that done comfortably and I think Im gonna be pretty pleased with it over the longhaul.As I expected,,shes no speed demon, but I know she will get me anywhere I need to go.
Anyway.. had fun with the girls they both "fell in" got muddy and even managed to scratch a few out. Good first hunt out of the rig.. Their smiles is all it took for me..
