Where can I find both a replacement shaft (threaded end and keyed end) as well as new bushings? This is a home built so I don't have a manufacturer to call up. Thanks

Several of the name brand manufacturers (except go devil) will sell just the shaft.

You can make your own shaft or buy one, a lot of our parts we get at NAPA or an implement store.

^ that's reassuring to hear to help keep some costs down.
I looked fr drive shafts other places but can't seem to find one with the threaded end for the prop and a square key for the universal. Any clues? I appreciate it!

Buy a BALANCED driveshaft from someone like McMaster-Carr. Then take it to a machine shop to get it cut to the correct length, threaded, and keyed.

Bog Hog and Beavertail sell just shafts.

We use 3/4 cold rolled round stock, cut to length then have our machine guy cut threads on one end and key the other end. Ends up being about $30

I used that cold rolled round stock before too. I found out if you go with the balanced driveshaft it really cuts down on vibration. I think it's worth the extra money.

Unfortunately my setup uses 1 inch shaft. The cheapest I can find a blank shaft is around 80 and for 90 I can get one keyed from a manufacturer. Do these prices sound right?
