Post Any Ideas on throttle mod
Does anyone have any ideas on putting a break handle(like off a fourwheeler) as your throttle on a gdlt instead of the throttle that comes on it? Seems to me it would be safer to have one that is on a spring rather than the one that on there(that's like a lawbmower throttle)

I will try to get some pics tomorrow of one with a minibike throttle. I know it really helps cause as soon as you let it go it's idling down.

That bicycle lever is a good idea.. It's a little shorter and easier to get to. Did you have to change any springs?

If you had to add a spring something is wrong on the other end of the cable, is the throttle lever not fullly disengaging? Shouldn't have to have a spring, the carb spring should pull it back no problem, just wondering. Did you adjust your throttle cable to remove all slack?

Post Re: Any Ideas on throttle mod
got the lever on but now im getting a problem with taking the slack out of the cable. Can't get it to open all the way up and isn't tight to the perch when you let go? Any ideas? Theres no adjustment on these throttles either.

Im holding the throttle at wide open and moving the throttle slide all the way to wide open to set it.

thanks

rob

I got tired of, not enough WOT then not enough idle. Also I run where I need all 4 fingers and my thumb on the handle. Also where your kill switch.

Can someone post a picture of how yaw are connecting the brake line? Not at the handle but at the engine. Any springs used anywhere?

I ordered the short pull bmx brake lever and a 60" brake cable and just need to know how to hook it up on my 27hp Kohler. I've searched here and googled and still have no clue. Come on guys

I came up with a "fingers free" telepathy device that reads my mind for when I want to speed up or slow down. Patent pending...

Thanks, so what kind of cable do I use? Or do I just need to bite the bullet and order the bps stainless and that cable?
