I know a guy that had a 16 GDLT on a 1448 Grizzly and he got about 12 mph He weighs about 230lbs. Hope this helps. |

I have a 16go devil lt on a 14x44 weldcraft. 17.5 mph by myself. I weigh 220. 15.5 mph with my 12 yo son loaded with guns and ice chest loaded down for a night at the camp. Hope this helps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I have a 16hp on a 1436 riveted with steel flex on the bottom.... I get 15-16mph by myself (220lbs), and 11mph loaded down (roughly 600lbs). |

I owned a 16hp GD LT and it was on an Alweld 14x42. The motor was smooth running and powerful enough to go anywhere you needed. IT WAS SLOW AS HELL PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save a little more money and put a 23 on your boat. If I would have listened years ago I would not have had to buy and sell two other motors in between. Call GD and they will explain the huge advantage of the 23hp IF you are set on the 16 it is a good motor very mild mannered to drive and it WILL get you where you want to go EVENTUALLY. Just my two cents but some lessons in life can be expensive and I have learned more than a few that way!! I am running a GO DEVIL 16x44 with a 27 Kohler. I passed two guys during teal season that had 14 foot flat boats 42 to 48 wide with 16hps? like they were standing still and my rig loaded was running 16.8 to 17.5 GPS |

I run a 16 gdlt on a 1448 riveted and get about 16 with no load. With 2 guys and a full load of duck gear and a boat blind it will still get up on plane at about 12mph. Not real fast but I'm hunting wild rice in about 6-8" of water and I have no probs getting way back in it. |
