You're going to need a prop and a case of natty lights.

Good luck and welcome to MMT ;)

There was some guy on here like a year ago that couldn't weld and he built his own longtail. The first time he took it out everything but the motor fell off into the lake. Do some practicing and make sure the frame is plenty strong because it will get abused. I also noticed from the pic that you're using one of those little 110v welders. I know they say they'll weld 3/16" but that's really asking a lot from those little welders. Where are you located?

Flux core yes. I set it on max wire speed 4. I throw it on the shop floor a few times. Really. Hard
I'm in north Texas guess I need to practice a bit before I start the 16 hp biuld.
Ha ha. But for a guy that's never welded I fig go slow make some zig zag motions call it good. I will practice then grind my welds down and do it again. And post pics. How is the base in the second pic is that good

No good. Grind it out and you'll see holes all up in those welds! I weld for a living, trust me it won't hold up.

Circles, circles that touch both metals with an even bead, no "zig zags". Tach two strips of metal making a "T" and practice on that tell you have an even bead
