Considering a 16x38 gd boat for my 13hp LT...how well would this set up work? Could I expect anything similar to previous performance? or would i be better with a 15x42 lite jon Was getting 12mph (unloaded) and approx 10 mph loaded before I tore up my 14x36...but anything soupy it would bog down |

That motors pretty small for a 16 foot boat. It might do aright how much heavyer do you think the new boat is. |

16 hp would be better , you probaby could put a 23 and really haul |

I have a 11hp Honda home build on my 14x40. Wish I had a 16 or bigger on it. Hard to plane with two people, dog and a load. |

New boat probably 100# heavier. Langr, my 13 is slow but goes...trying to stay cheap here...Motor is paid for, duck hunting in my area sucks..although still fun..... I can't justify the 14K for a 36 hp PD and 18 ft rig for a couple of woodrows 3x week and having to deal with 500 people that think a bass boat is a suitable rig.... |
