Just wondering if there is really much of a diffrence in power and speed between the kohler27 and the vanguard23. I have heard guys with surface drives complain that it was a waist of money to get the 27 because it wasnt any faster than the 23. just wondering if thats the case with a LT also. Thanks. |

I know we've already talked about this, but I think the $500 in price difference could be better spent on other stuff. Maybe a new muffler, or decoys, or a case of shells for duck season. Especially since you said you were going with a 16 foot boat. Now if you were going to go to a bigger boat like 17 or 18 foot, then I would jump up to a 35hp. |

That 27 will carry a load better, but if your hunting solo the 23 is plenty.. |

what about the Kohler 27 with EFI. Is that much faster than the standard 27??? |

Why not the 29 EFI? Same weight - more torque. |
