Have any of you had any experience running a LT on a Crawfish style skiff? How do they perform? Pros and cons?

I had a 16hp godevil longtail on a 16x42 skiff. It ran about 16 mph with just me and a small load.

I just bought a 1436 crawdad skiff with a 14hp longtail. Only run it once so far and was really impressed with the way it handled. I know someone with a 16 gdlt on a duck skiff and it seems to really perform well. Hope this helps

First, thanks for the compliment. The Guy really rigged it out very well
and its lite and built like a tank...
second, the boat and crawdad worked out very well. The skiff cut through the waves very well.
not to mention the supurb job it did in the shallow skinny water. I also
went down some tight winding timber zigzag through feeder creeks and I was able to cut through them
Like a slalom skier.

I must say it really depends on what your wanting to do with it and
where your wanting to take it.

I run a 27 GDLT on my 16x56 skiff. It handles great for everything I do.

I have always liked Dixon's hull for LT's. You run in Lake Seminole? I bought a 25 HP GD LT from Paul some years back.
