My u joints aren't looking very healthy and there is a lot of play when you manually spin the sprip at the joints. Instead of waiting until they break, I went ahead and ordered new upper/lower seals (upper seal is already shot) and bushings along with ujoints and yokes from GD. It's the split yoke set up. Have any of ya'll changed these out, if so are there any special tools I will need that I should go ahead and get from go devil ahead of time? |

I would of call Chris at Halloway Marine and had him do it. They do hundreds per year and are the ones that serviced that motor 2 + times per years since it was bought from them (from GD). |

I think that they are. They are also really good people. Google them and give them a call. Ms. Halloway will answer the phone. They are near Floral city. |

Impossible.....? There is 2 seals per motor so I add to the number 4 per year at least more if I get Power pro in the lower seal. So maybe 100s are a lot. But they do them and have been for many many years. |

Tailfisher is right! I went years ago with my 18 HP GD LT all the way from Miami to Floral City and they were great and more than reasonable with labor costs. I needed a whole new shaft assembly- I left them that old 3 bladed GD prop. Glad to hear they are still in business! I would not trust many down here in my area, sadly. |

Hammer, flat head screw driver and 10 minutes is all it takes. Save your $. Directions should be in your GD manual. |
