Wll this setup be a decent pair? What speeds should I expect with a couple guys and some gear? Not looking for lotsa speed, just good power to get places I couldn't get to last year. Also over stock, is a "q" muffler worth the extra money? Does it ad any power or not? Any help would be awesome! Thanks guys! |

Estimate 16 mph two hunters and gear...the $400 for the Q muffler would be better spent on shotshells or something else. A good investment would be on some gatorglide or steelflex for the hull bottom. Use search function here. Tweak the throttle advance/governor to around 4300 rpm out of the water. This should get you a couple of mph extra. Balance your load. Adjust the cavitation plate accordingly so it is just submerged and does not kick out. This a trial/error procedure- bend the plate or trim tab on some models up/down 1/4" at a time. I would recommend synthetic (e.g. Mobil 1) oil and grease. Remove any foam pre-cleaner from the air filter so it breathes better. Have all requisite safety gear on board, wear the kill switch lanyard (make sure it works!), watch those turns, get plenty of stick time, enjoy! |

Have your exhaust Gutted and use that extra money for Lap dances and shot gun shells. |
