I thought the sticker on the GD LT I bought had the serial number on it but looking at pics I think it is the patent number. One of the PO's sanded across the label and cut the numbers down to where they are hard to read. Not impossible to read, just hard and not on purpose, it looks like a orbital sander was run across the label as it has the small swirls cut into it. Anyway, I doubt that is important as I now don't think it has the serial number there. Where is it located? Edit to add: This is what my GD looks like, the 18HP briggs and all. I did not buy that one but it looks exactly like it. |

On the engine mounting plate directly under the u joint. |

Do you know what year serial numbers range in? This one ranges in the low 2000's. |

Mine is an 04 go devil and in the 16000 range I think giga douche was bragging about go devil making motor number 25000 a lil while back |
