 Outboard to Longtail
Getting ready to remove the outboard and hang the longtail. I would like to put the outboard back on in the summer. To avoid drilling additional bolt holes in the transom, I was considering a bracket with the outboard bolt pattern and mounting the mud-motor on that. Please let me know if this would work or if I should just drill the new bolt holes for the MM. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

 Re: Outboard to Longtail
Fill the ones not being used with silicone and forget about them till you need to remount your other motor.

 Re: Outboard to Longtail
make a cap out of alum to slip over the transom... one for each motor and silicone the outside edge

 Re: Outboard to Longtail
Just put a bolt/washer/ nut with silicone in the holes not being used.
My boat has got 100 holes in it from the different things it has had mounted over the years.
