 replacing upper and lower seals on 23 gd lt

Post replacing upper and lower seals on 23 gd lt
I'm changing my seals do I pack it wroth grease then push them in and put more grease or is there a different way to do it.? I'm new to all this and trying to save a trip to gd for something that seems easy.

Replace bushing first - pump GD grease till a bit comes through
at top and bottom - polish any rust away on shaft and wipe
away excess grease then install seals and give it 2 or 3 more
pumps of grease then go run it....

Be sure to use their grease and add the spring loaded gizmo
if yours didn't have it originally...
