Wondering if anyone has either motor and what they think about it? I was going to get one or the other just wanting some owners opinions or anything that will help the decision, and yes I have searched and researched all the forums and all that for any info on these little motors. This would be my first mud motor! The motor would be one the back of a 14/36 jon boat. Purpose would be for a 40 acre swamp and that is pretty much all it would be used for. Appreciate any input in advance. Thanks |

I have a wood duck it is a great little motor I also have a 1436, right now I have a wood floor, custom front deck, bow mount trolling motor, and battery in the boat and it will run 13.6 with me in it and just over 10 with two guys. I think the trolling motor and battery weight about the same as my blind and decoys so should run about the same set up for hunting. I have 18lbs valve springs, in-take, pipe, 120 e-tube, 90 main jet, gov removed, and black mamba jr cam. With a stock motor it is going to be slow so some mods will def help. I'm running the predator motor not the gx200 if you have the money I would buy the gx200 for sure more mods and better all around. The frame is well made but the paint sucks it will wear off fast and rust right away this winter it is going to get stripped down and powder coated. That is my only real compliant about the whole thing I have heard great things about the stump jumper as well but the ppf seems like it is better built for the price. I posted some videos on you tube user name "Joe Campbell" check them out ill post some more as well. |

Swomp lite is over priced for the hp ratings. Brings nothing better to the table for the price dif. |

Just wondering if it was looked at. I would buy the stump jumper if it was down to those 2 choices just my .02 worth i have seen both and the stump jumper has been around longer. |

Thanks fellas. I feel the same about the swomp lite motors, but I appreciate the the heads up on the company. Is theSubaru motor and the gx200 comparable ( apples to apples) ? One seems to have more mods or upgrades available than the other? What y'all think? Frame design I have heard is better on the woodduck? Don't know why considering I have never owned either motor! |

I have a stumpjumper. If I had to do it again I would have bought the frame and put one of those Briggs animal engines on it but the suby runs fine and is quick with a light load. |

Alright, what are y'all running them on? And are they riveted or welded? Just curious cause I gotta get both the motor and da boat. Yep, I'm a newbie and I need all the help I can get! Don't want to make a mistake and buy something that won't last or hold up. Thanks again for the replies!!!! |
