well today was the first voyage of my first mm rig and i was having a lil fun but not that impressed 23 hp vangaurd and two people and fuel run bout 14 in deep did get no shallow water speeds... hope fully soon i will |

Hey man I'm glad to hear you got it running..Hey look at it on the bright side 14 is still getting you to the duck blind!!!!! It beats the hell out of sitting at home wishing you had a MM rig to hunting with!!!!!!! Shoot me some ducks damnitt I can't make teal season!!!! |

yea im sure it will go faster with a new boat cuz the bottom of that boat is so forked up its slowing me down alot lol imma psot some pics up tom we going make a hunt in the morning |

Is that on the 1642 you had in the other thread? I thought you would've gotten better speeds than that if it is. I get 18 with two people, gas, dekes, extra battery, and huntin chit on a 1644 with the 27. Put a third person and it's down to 13-14. From what I have been seeing I was kinda discouraged with the 27 cause I was seeing the 23 and 24 getting speeds similar to mine, with the lighter loads, but now I figure with the larger hp you just gain torque not speed. I tell ya, I'm very impressed with the 27 it will chit n get in the thick stuff. Like LAOUTLAW said, at least it will get you to the birds. |

yea i was very disappointed when i took it out but yea as long as it gets me there yea its the same boat in my other thread .... but i got a great deal on a 23 with 100 hrs on it and it look like it was never used i put a battery to it and fuel and it started the first crank .... it been siting up since last year |

Congrats on some forward motion! And we'll always be "not that impressed" with longtail speeds, that's what drives us to eventually get shorttails!. I ain't doing much better on my 24hp, so don't feel bad.

well i figured out the problem the bottom of my boat is so forked up i think thats y i getting such slow speeds and im turning 2700 rpms |
