 Go Devil Honda 24hp
I am buying my first boat and was wondering what years did Go devil make longtails with a 24hp Honda motor? The owner doesn't know the year model. Another thing is the 24hp longtail enough to push a 17ft boat? I don't have a lot of land so I don't need speed just need enough power to go through stumps, logs, and a few small beaver damns. Thanks guys

 Re: Go Devil Honda 24hp
It should be enough for a 17' boat. And should have plenty enough power to push over stumps. Don't know about the year model though.
Sent from my beeper.

 Re: Go Devil Honda 24hp
I had an '05 GoDevil 16x44 with a 24hp Honda on it. Pushed the boat into the ~16MPH range and had plenty of torque for clearing logs and stumps. I believe Honda rates their engines net hp, while other mfg's rates theirs gross hp. Maybe nets you an extra horse or two.
Get the S/N off the frame and call GoDevil; they can tell you the year model. You can also get an idea from the S/N of the motor.
