Is there any reason why the LT must have a treaded shaft instead of the regular marine style , using a cone, key and nut ? Two weeks ago I lost my prop because the shaft broke at the weakest point, the end of the tread. Please let me know. P.B. |

I rigged a cone on a SPS Thai shitt kit I had so it would accept a ss prop. I would think that you would want the weakest link to go 1-prop. 2-shaft. 3-more expensive stuff. |

They do threads because its cheap and simple. But You have a long tail. The prop possibilities are really endless. Its just a simple nothing fancy straight shaft that can be machined into a hex, tapered, threaded, spline, ect... Hell this will even work on the GDSD. |
