 Re: longtail setup ?
23hp at the biggest and tell your buddy to get his own boat

 Re: longtail setup ?
Have you ever ridden in that small of a boat before. There are plenty of long tail setups like that around. I suggest hooking up with someone on here with a similar setup so u can get the feel of it.

 Re: longtail setup ?
Bite the bullet and get a larger boat I have a 1436 with a 16hp and it just about right but the 23 would be better. Damn boat gets tippy with me and another guy plus to stack on the gear and a dog can be kinda iffy... I'm pretty comfortable with driving it and I'm not worried about sinking the thing but have had some close calls with running up on stumps and coming down with a corner still hung up. If I used it more often like every weekend both during the off season and during season I would defiantly be in that 16 or 18 range without a doubt.

 Re: longtail setup ?
Just out of curiosity, what swamp you plan on running this setup in?
