Post Are SPS mud motor kits worth it????
Hey guys I'm new to the forum. I wanted to know if the sps mud motor kits are worth it. I have been looking into the 13hp predator with the sps kit on my 1436. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks.

No go man... Search how many guys come here and ask the same question about all these cheap kits, then after repeated warning from 5-10 people, they usually take the comments personally and decide to buy one (out of spite?) They take it home, assemble, and run it to the nearest shallow stuff. By the numbers that have reported back saying its a quality piece of machinery, it's easy to deduce that most people who go get one have been disappointed.... It's not hard to tell the cheap parts and aluminum prop make it laughable...

I can run really shallow (1-2 inches) on a softbottom with the s.p.s. It is my first mudmotor so I cant compare it to the other products out there, but for what it is, it works great for me so far.

Noooooooo. Don't do it. I learned from experience. The aluminum props were lasting minutes where I run.
