 the limit of a longtail?
what is the limit for a longtail and can it go through a bunch of marsh and sticks? was thinking about getting one

As far as where can they get you? They can get you anywhere your boat will float and the prop will grab.
If the boat is not floating and you can't get the prop down into the water, you ain't going anywhere.
Find your local dealer and take out a demo for a few hours.
I haven't found one person dissapointed in what a mud motor will do.

X2... I'v had 2 GDLT a MBSD and just bought a new MBLT. Stay with the Longtails if your running in the sticks and stumps..

Best description I have heard is:
"The LT and SD are both like extreme 4x4s the LT is stuck in 1st gear and the SD is stuck in 2nd"

another one is 4x4 high=surface drive and 4x4 low= longtail

My longtail has gotten me places i didnt think was possible. Ive only had to get out and push once. I run mine hard and whereever possible.

this is the terrain i will be going through, think an 11 hp longtail will do good in marsh like this?

Is it pretty hard bottom? I think you will be alright with an 11hp

It will push you in there, not fast but it should get you in. I ran a 9hp for the past 6 years in stuff just like that.
