Found a boat and motor that I am going to look at this weekend. Owner says there are only 40 or so hours on the motor. It is a 09 31 hp vanguard go devil. Just looking for any input on what to look for? What do you think is a fair price for it?

Look for excessive grease leakage around the lower and upper seals, removing the prop to replace seals isn't fun. Obviously look at the prop. See if you can get a test drive on the old boat or your boat with the motor.
