Generac 33 hp and SWOMP kit
Will a generac 33hp work with the SWOMP kit. Just wondering if it will handle the higher hp motor and also how the tapered shaft would work. I'm new with this mud motor stuff so any input would be nice.

Tommy, what kind of numbers are you getting with the Generac 33? MB had them for a short while but I've never read any reviews from the field. I have to overhaul my 27 HP before next season...have to budget for a swomp.

Is this the engine you guys have used? http://www.brandnewengines.com/0H0684.aspxNo issue's with being a fixed speed generator engine? Ie, easy to hook up a throttle cable?

Re: Generac 33 hp and SWOMP kit
Almost every industrial vtwin engine is designed to run fixed apeed 3600+/- all day long. But dont buy that one it has a tapered shaft. You need to look for a 0054420srv model. Its got 1-7/16 shaft but 1-1/8 shafts part # 0E4357G are easy to find and is a direct swap. Guess you could buy the taper shaft and swap also. Here this website can save you a few hundred dollars also. http://www.m-and-d.com/GEN-0054420SRV.html

Since this is longtail talk yep im sure you can get a u-joint that is 1-7/16 x "x" pending your drive shaft diameter. That should be easy.
