is the plate suppose to run under the water or just above the water? its running under now but if i push down and get the plate just above the surface it gains a few mph |

Mine runs abut an inch below the surface and will run all day this way without fighting it. If I hold it up any more, it cavitate a and slows down. The longtails are meant to have the prop fully submerged for best performance. |

10-4, just under the water is best. I get some short "power bursts" if I make it do a surface drive prop imitation, and gain 1-2 mph but this takes some effort and cannot be maintained for long. Sometimes during the season I have to re-bend the cavitation "trim tab" on my MB LT to get the right attitude. |
