Lil brother has a 18hp on a 16x36 duck skiff and he can't turn the 9x6 and 9x5 so he's running a 9x4 and gets like 18mph with him, battery and lil over 6 gallon of gas. When he puts the bigger props on they slow him down a lot and also suck in the mud but his 9x4 seems to go good in both mud and speed. |

I'm running a modified 9x4 on my 20hp and she'll tote a decent load. Jumps in plane in about a boat length too. I'd say try at least that. |

Go devil says 9x6 on their 25 Kohler long tails. My wore out 9x6 turns 3440 rpm. Tried a used in very good shape 9x7 BPS Tiger but couldn't get the rpm I wanted. Dropped to 3000 at WOT with me, dog and my duck gear. Same speed by GPS but the engine sounds like it's lugged down. |
