I haven't seen price. I thought someone said it's like $500 for factory EFI over carb.

With the briggs efi not being tunable it may not be as great as it sounds. If you do performance work and can't account for it in the efi software you may be limiting the effictiveness of those mods. If you knew going into it that you wanted to change the heads, exhaust and cam down the road it may be worth saving the $500 and get a carbed model and putting that towards a carb (or efi) thats adjustable rather than being stuck with efi that's not.

Prodrive must be pissed, no more 2000 efi kits to rip people off with.

Post subject:  Re: Backwater Inc. EFI is a real thing.

It seems a better deal if you want efi is to sell your current motor and just buy a new efi motor.

Unless you have a bunch of work done already.

Has anyone seen a B/S EFI engine up close?

I have - looks like they are using the same intake manifold as carbed engines and it looked like a throttle body style injection as opposed to port - I could be wrong couldn't get a good look at it.

Also on the Vanguard page they state new valves and seats for the vertical big block 28 EFI - is this going to "fix" the valve trouble with these engines or be available on the 37?

Sorry, my 2004 Kohler has the hydraulic fuel pump system....if I get the 35 EFI LT in the future, will I still be able to tweak the throttle to 4300 rpm out of the water, one of the cheapest "mods" I know of? I suspect fuel efficiency (nautical miles per gallon) will improve? I've swapped out the hydraulic pump one time, pretty easy...how hard will the EFI be to change out? Any reviews? Hopefully the bugs will be sorted out by the time I enter the market.

The marine models should be limited at 4700, so getting up to 4300 shouldn't be an issue at all.

Has anyone see the Dyno chart on the New Briggs EFI yet? ;)

The only thing I seen is this sticker on the air filter cover saying its a 37HP Gross HP @ 3,800 RPM's. Just Saying!! :D

Maybe this will help on the different between Net Horse Power and Gross Horse Power.

Your pay check!!

You Gross a payment for the time you work. Right?

You don't bring that amount home. Correct?

No you don't and I don't neither!!

The Government TAKES a lot from that Gross payment. Still With Me?

Back to a engine.

The Government of an engine is the Air Filter, Muffler and the Charging System!!

They ALL ROB!! :o :D

So, who had an issue "understanding" the difference? Why are you off on a tangent about this now?

Just more useless info? Almost completely irrelevant to everything else on this thread?

Post subject:  Re: Backwater Inc. EFI is a real thing.

I didn't need it explained, and don't see where anyone else asked to have it explained either...Just you again, rambling on with useless info..........

I'm fully aware of how the whole net/gross thing works with a paycheck as well, I'm sitting here working on my taxes as we type...but there is one thing we don't do around here, and that's talk about how or where a man earns his money.

I would explain it for you, but it would be just as much of a waste of time for me to type it out as it is to read anything that you post on this website...

Not every motor has to be missed. You can get the 37 EFI and enjoy it like it is. You can enjoy the 3 year warranty attached with it. My stock motor gets the job done 24/7

Post subject:  Re: Backwater Inc. EFI is a real thing.

It's not rocket science bro. Not sure why you or anyone else here would need it explained to them, hence the reason nobody asked............

Yes, I do have health insurance, triple priced and all, just like the rest of us taxpayers here on this site...

So, more off topic nonsense, or you have something useful or relevant to bring to the table? Maybe answer questions instead of spewing random nonsense on every thread? Give info people want, instead of useless jibberish? Or just go fuck off, and post dumb funny stuff, and smart ass comments..........something, anything other than trying to sell efi on every thread might be refreshing...
