I am running a MB 25 LT and am looking for more performance out of my rig and am adding med beavertai lpods to my boat. I was wondering if anyone had done this and if so what am I getting into? I am wondering if I should just take to a machine shop and have them put on? I was told about $60.00 per weld wich seems fair. any advise on this would be great. P/S I am 295 soaking wet so with hunting gear and waders well over 325. so I have alot of weight in th ass end of this boat.

I made pods for a fiberglass boat I had. My issue was that my motor was to heavy for the boat, and it was dangerous coming down off a plane. I used similiar specs and dimension of the beavertail pods using their CAD drawing. I was able to offset about 400lbs of weight with the pods. My boat sat level in the water and jumped on plane quicker. If your boat isnt very wide, the pods may not help too much. But they will definitely help if your just having a problem with weight in the rear end.

Am I reading this right? Your boat is over 6' wide on the bottom but only 14' long? Are you sure your not measuring the beam? A short wide boat is a recipe for bad performance with a longtail.

Best thing you can do is move some weight to the front of the boat

I put some beavertai pods on mine set about 2" higher in the back

I would try moving battery and/or gas to the front for starters and see what that does performance wise. It was a game changer in my 1448.
