OK so I decided after this season to buy a woodie hole boat for some type 2 marsh hunting and I decided on a PPF Long Tail and a 14/36 riveted tracker so its light enough to fit in the truck and dump off in a ditch. My question to ya'll is what mods have you done and liked on the PPF 6.5 Predator engine. currently with just me I am getting 11-12 mph all day with some concentration 14 mph. I had planned on going to at least stage 2 with valve springs, intake, exaust, and removing governor. Any idea what that will do?

You can call Jake and ask him. They have done different mods to a few motors I think. He's a helpful dude.

Yea he said maybe 3-4 more MPH and better low end with a stage 2 but my question is has anyone gone as far as new cam, 26lb springs, piston, flywheel, ect. Is it worth the extra effort and money.

You might look at vegascarts.com at their modded clone. It is a little heavier but will give you 25 HP for cheaper than the branded single cyl. motors.
