 5.5 Briggs build
Here is one of two I am working on.
I have to build the motor mount and handle.
The motor is off an old generator, I pressed out the coupling from the armature and made the coupler. shaft had a 1/4" shear pin @ the coupler.
it has bronze bushing and sealed needle bearing on the ends. runs very true with no grease in the shaft.
I used some short pieces of 1" ID DOM tubing welded to the ends of 3/4" galv pipe to hold the bearings. ID of the shaft housing pipe is .801 so once filled with grease every thing will be real tight.
