Ok so i got the green light from the bank. I have thought about getting a prodigy 1748 with a back h2o 35 ss. How does a lt run with a drop deck on the boat? Im getting 21"side with a 16" transom. Does anybody run a similar set up to this? If so how does it run for you? |

Don't get a drop deck if you want to put the prop in the boat . |

Those Prodigies look good, however, you best address your questions to the good folks at BackH20 who can best answer them. |

I would look into the fishtail, would most likely work better with an lt. |

As far as running a longtail on a hunt deck they do just fine. No different than running them on a regular transom except you wont get the backwash into the boat when you stop fast and you have a good spot to get in/out of the boat and hunt your dog. As far as getting the tail into the boat that is something you would have to call backwater and see what they say about how high it pivots. Also the height of the false transom will have an effect on that. Mine works fine but I have 16" sides all the way around with a 16" transom. |

MDMarsh, I have no experience of running an LT other than on a conventional transom 16"; how would you compare turning and otherwise driving it with a hunt deck? Sounds like a good thing as you say with the deck platform for getting in/out of the boat and reducing backwash. Any other pro/cons of the hunt deck vs. conventional transom? |

You may not be able to swing you prop into the boat with that big of a height difference from the transom to the sides depending on how it is built. When I was having mine built I figured out the max difference it could tolerate was like 3". But that was for the way my particular transom is built. If it's out on a hunt deck with nothing around it, it may not matter. |
