 13 hp backwater bogging down
Any help would be awesome.
Once I drop the cav plate down below surface the motor sounds like it's bogging down and stalls out or "dies". Not sure if the predator has a low oil sensor but I am going to test that out tomorrow after reading some similar threads. Specs are below.
Predator 420cc 13-14hp depending on where you read the hp stats Backwater swomp lite glider kit w, 9x5 prop 15x38 flat bottom lite boat about 250ish Cav plate seems to ride fine right at surface.

Re: 13 hp backwater bogging down
Turn idle up a lil more. The weight on prop needs a lil more force behind it

I'll bet you it's the low oil sensor. Start the motor while on the trailer then lower the prop like you were in the water and see if it dies.
