Wanting a small rig and im torn between a 12ft jon and a fatboy dp................ im wondering which is more stable with a small longtail. it will be used in small water ......... can anyone who has either please give me some feedback ...thankyou |

Neither will be very stable if your a big guy i ran a 12 ft jon and a four rivers layout w/longtail for a while and neither felt as safe as a 14/36 Jon IMO the larger Jon boat helped me carry more decoys/gear farther too as it would draft less Sent from denda this |

I got a 1236 with a 5hp longtail. Im 185lbs and I have to be very careful in it. |

I think it really depends on how you plan to use it. If you want to layout hunt and be nearly invisible to the ducks, then the fatboy is a great rig. However, if you just want to haul gear back and forth to a blind, then I'd go with the jon boat for the additional space, and a touch more capacity. |
