Was wondering if anyone knew of or could suggest improvements to longtail build plans? I'm sure some of you have seen parts and design that could be improved. Thanks |

WHat plans do you have that you would like improved? When I built mine I just looked at several models and picked the features I liked. I also didnt have "plans" Just some ideas, some building blocks (motor and prop), and I got creative. |

Like he said they're pretty simple, the one thing I would recommend is to use a bearing in a cage at the top of the shaft housing, this puts your only friction point that needs tp be greased below the surface of the water and if you get in a pinch you dont gotta worry about the housing having enough grease in it to cool a top bushing... |

Yep that's the basic idea, We use a bearing with a locking collar like pictured above however the bearing is bolted to the frame using a two retainer plates like pictured below... |
