I made a couple shortcuts for my go devil. One lets me cut across a peninsula instead of going all the way around, and the other lets me turn around at the back of a creek.

The water was up enough that I could idle through them today so I took a couple videos. It's hard to videotape and drive, but here they are:

Thanks, it is a 23hp Go Devil. It gets me where I need to go, and a little further than I should go sometimes.

For that aqua-terrain, that 38" wide hull seem like the ticket. I bet it is fairly stable too. I have morphed from a 1436 to a 1544 and now a 1648 and want an 1848. I am 6'4" so more room is great for both ducking and fishing. What kind of optimum speeds do you get? The GD hull is flat and smooth- have you applied gatorglide or steelflex? Seems like that would help also, the GD site lists the weight at 430#.

I would guess that it runs 19-20, but that is fine by me. I put a 9x7 on it, now it runs faster if I half-prop it, but I don't do that often because the valves start to float at 4400rpm.

I ordered a gallon of G2. I put half on my airboat hull and I am saving half for this boat. I want to finish welding everything on this boat before I paint and apply GG.

The boat seems every bit of 430 pounds when you get it stuck.

At least with the longtail when you are high and dry its usually easier than a shorty...at least with my friend's SD, we would have gone farther in but when you bottom out you are really in a jam and no super-duper winch will help, or reverse for that matter, and the prop has taken a huge hit. The sand/mud here sucks the hull like with a vacuum and it is hell extricating the mother.
