Post scavenger ...ooops?
I found your sight the other day and must say it has been very informative. Had I found it before i ordered a 5.5hp scavenger, i probably would not have ordered one, but a muddbuddy instead. I am putting it on a 13ft gheenoe sport and using it for trapping and getting into and out of the only few acres of public deer hunting land devoid of other hunters in SE Michigan. When I do get it, I will post a thorough and honest review. It is the quality of the people that makes forums like these successful and most of you seem to be top notch. More to follow when I get the thing.
Regards
Also ...anyone who has one of these with any opinions or reviews would be great. Thanks

I don’t have one but the reviews I have seen on scavengers are mostly positive. It will probably be great for your stated use.

If you have never drove a longtail, it takes a little practice. Once you get some of the basics down you should be able drive with little effort. You can search this site for driving tips.

I wouldnt mind having a scavenger.. I know a guy that is the local dealer for them here in Utah and he is a good standup guy. I've heard mostly good about them. I dont have any first hand experience running one, but the shafts on them look like tree trunks compared to a GD or MB LT. which isnt necessarily a bad thing when you use them hard. I think you made a good choice considering what you are going to use it for. ;) let us know what you think of it..

that giant handle is easy to modify to however you like i have seen them shortened or put hinges on them to fold them up but actually that big ass handle is easy to steer with i kinda like it just takes up room
