I am having some issues with my top (below yoke) shaft seal... It has slid out after tapping it back down snug and tightening the 2 hex screws it has once again slid out..... it is blowing all the grease out knowing that it should be covered in grease it is loosing too much.... Also should the bottom seal have grease coming out? it does not i cant remember if it should show sighns of grease or not.....

I noticed the prop nut was not tightened down tight could this be the cause?
I have run this motor the past 6 + years but have not run it the past 2 years so i have forgotten many of my old tips and tricks.....

Just looking for some ideas on the cause.... It makes a hell of a metal on metal squeal so i know there is no grease on that top bearing.

also any one know any online diagrams ??

thanks

not sure what brand you are running but i would not think that the prop nut has anything to do with it.

Did you try calling the OEM? Its possible you got water in it a while back and while it sat up it might have frozen and expanded the seals even further. IDK, just my 2 cents.

You might can do a seach on here and find some similar issues that other people have had.

sorry i was not much help man
