 title questions If you buy a longtail kit to install on a motor is this assembled motor ow required to be titled?
Sorry newbie question. I've always run outboard

Re: title questions In Texas we have titles for boat, trailer and motor. But with this being a longtail kit, I wasn't sure. I guess I need to look and see if they have an exemption for a "home made" motor.

Re: title questions We don't have to title boats or trailers here legally speaking. Unless the loaded trailer is over 8k. Alot of trailer mfg make titles for proof of ownership purposes like if it gets stolen, but it's not required by the state. Kansas
