Post oil sensor issues
I bought a predator 6.5 hp motor for my beavertail layout boat and got it set up and it dies when put at to much of an angle because of the low oil shutoff. Everything I have found on the Internet says to remove the sensor from the motor but was wondering why simply unplugging wouldn't work. Is there a reason for removing it?

I've got a 6.5 Predator as well, you can safely "overfill" to avoid that problem, and still have the sensor turn it off if you develop and oil leak. Unless it just leans too darn far, add a little bit of oil and try it out, keep adding a bit at at a time until it doesn't cut off.

Don't cut the wire off, you may want to sell the motor for an upgrade. Just unplug it, it will work unplugged.
