Just ordered one today to go on my new boat. Just in time for big duck season. I thought about the 37 but I wanted something I can work on if I have problems. I'm excited to say the least.

Thats kinda how I feel about the EFIs. Id like the steady idle and other benefits, but I have absolutely no faith in any briggs shop locally to fix/troubleshoot an EFI if I got a turd.

What size boat are you putting it on?

Glad to hear! Make sure and give us a maiden voyage review with the big swomp! My 1648 is running a 27 MB LT right now but I can sure imagine that big block 35 will do the job well.

Well I got the motor in and it runs great. It is a big step up from my old 13 hp homemade longtail on a 1436. With my phone I clocked it at 23.9 bumping 24. Really easy to run. I did get stuck though. Thought I was going through a 30 foot wide weed bed to come out in a creek but ended up it was a ditch that started about 5 foot wide and ended up about 18 inches wide before it dumped from the cut I was in back out to the main creek. I was able to push it out backwards by hand though.
Can't wait till all the crappy weather from this hurricane passes so I can go back out again.
Edit. That ditch was all grass, same as the rest before I got stuck in it.

Good deal. , should push that boat well. , nice thing is you can spin these rigs almost in place , and when you can't your usually shallow enough to just hop out and drag . Get a grab bar and wear your kill switch. , keep posting , speeds should pick up .

I've never had a grab bar. I have given serious thought to putting one in this hull but I don't really see a need for it now that I've ran it. I got used to driving a 14/36 without one and this boat is much more stable. I bet if I put one in though I would be like, damn this is what I've been missing out on for so long.
